Description of the Workshop:

Movement-theatre workshop. it is rooted in Japanese dance style butó and includes elements of movement and theatre improvisation. Content of the workshop is a comples of both group and individual exercises and games focusing on developing basic principles of movement and theatre acting such as: concentration, perception, relaxation, corporal knowledge, working with energy, experience, attitude, communication, spontaneity, working with image etc. The workshop is intended for all those who are interested to learn something new about themselves, like to play, are interested in connection between physical and mental and are attracted by creative work.

 

Requirements on participants of workshop:

Take, please, a free clothes and shoes for exercising, pen and notepad.

 

Eva Elxa is an actress, theatre author, director, dancer, teacher of acting at Conservatory of Jaroslav Jezek in Prague. She also studied religion and psychology at Husite Theological Faculty at Charles University. Eva Elxa studied butó at Mina Tanaka in Japan and at Frank van de Vena (Netherlands). She danced in several butó performances in Japan (in Tanaka choreography in Hakushu festival) and in Czech (van de Ven choreography in the Archa Theatre, Prague; sight-specific projects in Bohemiae Rosa festival, Kuks castle, Mšeno, etc.) Since 2003 she has been performing with her own author movement -theatre projects within her theatre group PAP (Prague alternative platform) eg: Lingerie, Carmen, Manuevers, New Robinsons, etc. She performed in many theatre and movement projects in the Theatre Archa, in CSČR, she guest-starred in the Prague´s National Theatre in Well-paid walk under direction of Milos and Peter Forman and also in East-Bohemian Theatre in Pardubice. She has been teaching acting and author production at Conservatory of Jaroslav Jezek in Prague.
